What do we think of the LG Tone Platinum?
The futuristic look of the headphone will appeal to some consumers, but not all; however, round the neck headphones have appeared popular with most users. The earbuds should fit comfortably inside your ears, various reports and user reviews have shown this not to be the case after prolonged use.
The battery life for the LG Tone Platinum headphones is excellent. Multiple testing had shown that when casually listening to music the headphones were able to last 3 to 4 days before they needed charging. The downside to being a Bluetooth wireless device, however, means that once the battery life runs out, you have no other way of using the device until the unit is charged.
The Bluetooth connectivity for the headphones is simple to use, and the signal strength is remarkable with a full range and virtually no dropouts. The device can connect to multiple devices.
The sound quality is notable, especially when you consider that Bluetooth devices are not popular amongst music lovers. The noise-cancelling feature only appears to work during calls. The sound is comfortable at low to middle-level frequencies. However, high levels can appear faint and muffled.
The Talk and Tone app allows users to control their devices via voice command. This means that if you are listening to music, you can control the device to pause your music while you answer your phone. You have the ability to assign shortcuts as well as choose what alerts you wish to receive.
The headphones are expensive at a market price, however; it is not difficult to find them available cheaper by searching online. An internet search will also reveal there are some similar products available that offer similar features and are considerably less expensive.
The headphones have generated a lot of interest in not only the media but also consumers. Reviews online have been mostly positive however the issues with the headphones have become a common theme amongst all reviews.
The LG Tone Platinum currently has a rating of 3.6 out of 5 stars on a popular shopping website, 50% of consumers rated the product as five stars compared with 33% who rated the product as 1 star.
The LG Tone Platinum wireless Bluetooth headphones are the most recent release in a series of devices. The headphones have a good battery life, adequate sound, and include simple and efficient connectivity along with useful voice commands.
The compatibility with the Android Talk and Tone app offers users a simple and successful way to interact with their devices while organizing and manage their life.
The LG Tone Platinum is a headphone that aims to look good and be easy and straightforward to use. All aspects of the headphones are constructed so that the device connects to multiple devices almost seamlessly while retaining connectivity.
However, the downside is the inability to use the sound-cancelling feature with music and the ear buds becoming uncomfortable after prolonged use, along with the sound becoming faint when used at higher frequencies, and expensive price tag.
Despite the apparent shortcomings with the headphones, reviews have shown that the headphones are popular with consumers.
There are cheaper alternatives on the market, which offer similar features at a similar quality. However, fans of LG will see the headphone as an upgrade to their older models. New users will also be similarity satisfied. However, the headphones are not game changing.
Of course, all this is just our opinion, if you are interested, then the LG Tone Platinum headphones are available at some major retailers in the US and abroad.
