A wireless gaming headset is a must have peripheral in a gamer’s collection, and the right one can transform your experience completely. There are many varieties of headsets: wireless, wired, over-ear, In-ear as well as many more and here at EarbudsAddict we have tried and tested many different types of headsets with the goal of giving you the best buying experience possible.
During our testing, we came across Logitech’s G930, which we can positively say is our favorite gaming headset on the market! It blew every other headset out of the water, and we were amazed by the quality and attention to detail that went into making this.
It features Dolby digital 7.1 surround sound that is perfect for gaming as it lets you experience 3D sound like you have never heard it before, and paired with its 40mm drivers, it will blow you away. The microphone is noise cancelling, meaning it will block out most of the background noise and remove the annoying fuzz that you often hear on cheaper Bluetooth headsets. The microphone can be muted by one of the 3 macro buttons on the left ear cup that can be customized with Logitech’s software.
The software not only allows you to set custom macros, but you can also change all of the headset’s settings, like the bass level, microphone pitch, as well as much more. Logitech also includes some third party microphone voice changers that will allow you to fool your friends with fun and wacky voices.
In the box, you will get the headset itself as well as the 2.4 GHz wireless adapter that fits into the included charger and USB hub. We experienced many different variations of wireless connectivity whilst testing these devices but the Logitech dongle is by far the best.
There are many reasons why we love the G930 and they all fit together wonderfully to create the best wireless gaming headset on the market. Whilst this is not the cheapest wireless headset on the market, it is certainly an affordable, Bluetooth headset, made with the gamer’s interest at heart.
Recently Logitech released the G933, which is an updated version of the G930, but we found it to be not worth the extra money. At more than double what the G930 is, we firmly believe that you will be better off getting the original Headset.
Overall the G930 is easily the best wireless headset for gamers and in our test it came out head and shoulders above the rest. It offers what other don’t in so many areas, like the 10-hour battery life, fantastic included software, and as it’s from such a big company you can be assured that if you run into any issues, their customer support team will be on hand to help.
